In order for supervisors to have a successful relationship with the teachers it is important for the supervisor to keep in mind how adults learn. Adults prefer to integrate new ideas with already existing knowledge.  By capitalizing on their experiences the adults are more apt to take on new ideas and suggestions.  Adults prefer to have options rather than being told what to do.
